A Few Random Friday Thoughts...and a few confessions.

1. After arrival of baby Trent I still have a life...to my surprise. When I was pregnant, I thought when you have a baby, you go to the hospital, you have your baby and you come home and MY/OUR life will go on the same (pre-baby). Boy, was I wrong. I guess I just didn't know any better. As soon as we got home, our ENTIRE life had changed. CONFESSION: A few weeks into it, I honestly thought, I was going to lose my MIND and go insane! There was NO time to do anything! To sit, think, do laundry, NOTHING! BUT, as with anything else, we made adjustments and changed our schedules and routines. Now 4.5 months into it, our life is pretty much back to normal. We both work, I'm going to school to get my MBA, we're still able to get out and enjoy our life. Play with our dog and watch movies (here & there)

2. Caps lost to Haps this week in the playoffs. I can't express how disappointed we are!

3. About a month ago we got Netflix Instant Download and got into 'Dexter' shortly after! OMG! It's SO addictive! By far one of the best Murder/Mystery/Detective series on TV.

4. I have mid-terms next week. Almost 4 Qtrs down, 4 to go!

5. I finally went to the 9/11 Pentagon today. I've been wanting to go there since they opened it a few years ago, and I can finally cross it off my list. It was very peaceful and serene.

6. The weekend is almost here and that makes me VERY happy. We have lots to do. We're dropping stuff (about 10 boxes) of donation at the Salvation Army tomorrow morning. yay! I love organizing and de-cluttering our lives.

7. My sister is coming over to visit this weekend. I can't wait for her to see Trent. I think it's been almost a month since she's seen him. :)

8. I will NOT turn this into a 'Baby' blog!...Although one might think it has been such for the past few months. Ha ha!

9. I don't like Bing.com. I still prefer/LOVE Google!

Photo Shoot!

I have been wanting to post these pictures since Sunday, so finally tonight after dinner, I got a few minutes to sit down to post these pictures. I have been wanting to take some cute pictures of Trent in these cute baskets I got at my shower from work (before he gets too big in them). So finally on Sunday afternoon, I got a chance to do it. We started inside and went out on the deck and took a few pictures.

ha! We were trying to get Mango to sit in front or next to the basket, but she wasn't having it. When she finally laid down next to the basket, she got on her back and wanted John to pet her. ha ha!

I took the next two pictures Sunday morning after I got him from his crib. He's always in a good mood in the mornings, smiling! (Not like his mama!) :p

Alright, I got mid-terms next week, so I'm going to try to get an hour of studying in before giving Trent his three B's: Bath, Bottle and Bed. Good night! :)

FL trip with Trent!

Last weekend I flew down to FL to surprise my dad for his b-day, which was on Satuday. :) My parents were both very surprised. I LOVE surprising people, it's so much fun! lol
I was a little worried about traveling with Tbob, specially since it was my first time traveling with him, alone, w/o John. But he did good, I took the car seat down, w/o the stroller and used the bjorn to carry him thru the airport, etc. He did really good on all the flights, I fed him during take off and landing, so his ears would pop. The rest of the time, he was sleeping or just looking around at people on the plane. He's a great traveler, I sure didn't want to be that mom with the 'SCREAMING' baby on the plane. ha!

While I was down in Orlando, I figured I might as well surprise Trent's other grandma! HA! So we all met up at Chili's, and had a nice lunch. She had her other grand daughter, Ella with her. She was so interested in Trent. SO CUTE!

Unfortunately, Trent had a little trantrum at Chili's and we had to cut our visit short. :(

Class Day!

Wednesdays I have class all day for my MBA, but my first class doesn't start till 10. So I have a little extra time in the morning and I wanted to post a couple of pictures of Trent from this morning before John took him to daycare.

Great weekend!

We had a great weekend, it went by WAYYY too fast. We got some stuff done around the house yesterday and relaxed a bit.

I finally broke down and got Trent a Gap cap, he looked too cute in it! lol

4 Month Appt

Trent has his 4 month appointment today, so I took the day off to spend the day with him and take him in for his appointment later today. I'm excited to find out if we can start him on solids yet. Although I'm not sure if I'm excited about the diapers that will follow... lol specially with 'steamed' broccoli, cauliflower and etc. Back when I was still pregnant, my mom got me this awesome Beaba Babycook to make my own baby food. At the time it seemed so far away before I get to start using it, now I can't believe we'll be using it soon.

It also comes with the cutest, most colorful accessories & storage. My mom & Jessica got me some of each.

Trent is taking a nap right now, so I got 2nd the load of laundry in, 2 down, 3 to go! whoo hoo! I love the fact that I'm home today, so I can get a head start on chores around the house. Have a great Friday!

Cherry Blossom Festival!
