My cravings so far!

A lot of people have been asking me what kind of cravings I've been having. Nothing's been like "I HAVE TO HAVE THIS NOW OR ELSE.." but there have been a few things here and there that I would like to have everyday or several times a day that I didn't before:
Gotta have my lemons with dinner, I usually end up eating the one that comes with my water when we go out to eat! yum.

Fresh Salsa: There were a couple weeks in my first tri, as soon as I got home, I would make fresh Salsa, John totally loved it.

...and ofcourse pickles, I guess I wouldn't be considered prego unless I craved pickles, almost everyone I've talked to whose been pregnant has craved pickles at one point or another:

lots of fresh fruit, strawberries, blueberries, cantelope, grapfruit, orange, apples, etc. yum!

I can't think of anything else at this point, but I will add on as time goes by.

Week 16

Wow! I can't believe it! we're already at week 16. It sure is going by fast, but July 20th can't be here fast enough. We want to know if we're having a boy or girl so bad. What's it going to be? Trent Marshall or Grace Roya????
Week 16 - BabyCenter.com
How your baby's growing: Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

Our little Freak Omen Children!

Not sure how accurate these online pictures are (hope NOT at all) but I did one of these a while ago. I uploaded a picture of me and a picture of Johnny and it's supposed to come up with a picture of what your child will look like: OUR CHILDREN LOOK FREAKY!!! :)

"Trent", Red hair? are you serious?

Grace...what's with the nappy blonde hair?

So Far!!!

I feel like the past few months has just flown by so fast, so before the next 6 months flies by too, I'd like to chronicle it. Let's start from when we found out were prego!

YIKES!

Week 6 (I think this was mostly my belly fat) :)

Week 10

Week 14

(Still wearing my size 4 clothes, but not sure for how much longer...)In another news, John has decided to grow a mustache! So far it doesn't look ridiculous...YET! :)

Flutters!!!

I've been reading in my prego books about these flutters I should be feeling right around 14/15 weeks and I also I've read first time moms don't usually feel them. But I swear since last night, I've been feeling 'something'!!! It kind of feels like something pulsing in my tummy. It's different. At first, I thought it was my food, gas, etc but it definitely feels different. Here is our baby at 15 weeks! :)

Somethings NEVER change!

Happy Father's day! Although we didn't celebrate Mother's day, becuase it was too early and I was way too worried something might go wrong, etc. By now we've had our 12th week appointment, have heard the heartbeat, have seen our little munchkin on the screen and hopeful that nothing will go wrong at this point. So on that note, I got John a couple things for Father's day. The best part was, he wasn't expecting anything. lol I got him a frame that says: "I Love Daddy" and put a couple of the sonogram pictures in it. He loved it. I also got him a cellphone/ipod charger/organizer that he's been saying he needs. He liked that too, he actually started using it last night.

Now more about the subject line of this blog. Somethings never change, that's for friends and more specifically great friends. I moved to MD in 2005 and became pretty good friends with Mandi, who had been working for the Navy for a while. Soon we became gym buddies and hung out outside of work. Anyway, eventually I took a job at the Pentagon, and didn't see her as much. But thru this whole time, we've kept in touch. I remember when Cody propsed and when they got married and when she announced she was pregnant. I was so excited for them. Soon after she started her blog on her pregnancy and now it's all about Bailey, their adorable daughter. I have to confess, I check her blog every morning for updates. lol It's amazing with some friends you never fall out of touch, she's a great friend and I miss her. See her blog and the sweet note, titled "Want to Give my 'Congrats" about our big annoucement.

Update on our lives!

As much as I'd like to promise (like a lot of other new moms out there), and promise that this blog won't be ALL about the baby, I know it will be. ha ha so before I go ALL baby-crazy on this blog, I'm going to update you on the last month or so of our lives.

First with my FL trip for Becki and Brian's wedding, my really good friend I've known, oh since High School and Publix. Oh Publix days.... I have so many great, fun memories with Becki. She's really one of my greatest friends, it doesn't matter how long it's been since we've talked, everytime we talk, it's like we're 2 feet away. I love you Becki! :)

The beautiful couple!

Cutest flower girl ... Jenna!

Keepin' it real!

Next I have some pictures from my b-day that I got to celebrate both with my parents and sister and her husband and again when I got back home with baby daddy-John in Hampton :)

Beautiful cake my mom made! that's right! she's awesome!

Went out to dinner to Bonefish Grill for my b-day. Yum!

The following week I flew to Monterey for orientation for the EMBA program I'm starting in less than a month. Yikes!!! I'm excited but hope it will be an easy transition into homework, papers, reading, etc from not having to do all that after work for the past few years. I can't believe it's been 4 years since I've been out of school.
The Farmer's market at Monterey, so much fresh fruit and vegtable! yum!

MIA

I know, I know, I haven't blogged since May 12th, but it's been busy. So my trip down to FL was WONDERFUL, the wedding was SO much fun and I had a great time hanging out with my family. The following weekend (Memorial Day) weekend we went up to Philly to visit John's parents and really had a good time up there. The weather was nice and we did some sight-seeing. From there, I had to fly to Monterey, CA for work, and now I'm back to work. I'm unpacked and the getting back into my routine. :) I'll post some pictures from the last few weeks later. I took tons of pictures in Monterey, it's such a beautiful city, but so expensive.
