19 Weeks and 2 days!!!

So as most of you know by now, we weren't able to find out the sex of the baby at our last doctor appointment due to a misunderstanding (Tricare being so inefficient), so we have to either 1. shell out $70 to go to a private place to have a gender determination sonogram done 2. Wait another 2-3 weeks for the sonogram appt. with at the doctor's office. At this point, I'm leaning towards option 1. lol

Anyway, our baby is a size of a Tomato!

Our baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom

Week 16

Week 17

Our 4th of July Weekend!

I know, it's been almost a week since 4th of July but I just got a chance to update my blog with pictures....so here it goes.

We started our 4th of July celebrations with going to Town Point Park in Norfolk Friday night.

Putting the tri-pod to some good use! :)

On Saturday, we decided to finally go to Colonial Williamsburg since we've been in the area for over a year now, and what better day to go than 4th of July. We ended up taking Mango out for a walk around noon and by the time we got back and got ready, it was around 3pm before we left for Williamsburg. We got there before 4, walked around some, got dinner and watched the fireworks around 9pm.

John's Photography! :)

Infront of the Governor's Mansion!

John by some fence...

Keeping it real with all the poop on the streets...lovely!

Us, before the fireworks started going off.
We finished off the night with some awesome fireworks.. it went on for about 30 minutes!

And..this is what we came back to...

Our little Turnip!

Our baby weighs 5 ounces this week
According to Babycenter.com, our baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her/his lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Our baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
More to come later...

Please pray for this sweet little girl, her parents just found out she has a very aggressive, malignant brain tumor that is wrapped around the major blood vessels that feed the brain.

http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mcraekate She's having surgery today!!!

Our growing baby..

Our baby measures up to an avocado, now, and weighs 3 1/2 ounces. (Length: 4 1/2 inches, head to bottom.)
I haven't felt the flutters in a few days, but I guess I should be feeling them in between week 16 and 18, so no worries!
