89% done...
So yesterday, we finally got a chance to almost finish the nursery. Wednesday night we stopped by Walmart and picked up the furniture.
I love this bedding, John picked it out! My mom made the blanket and it matches perfectly. Not sure what Homer is doing in his crib, personally I think it will scare Trent but John thinks it looks cute...for now! :)

These beautiful curtains are handmade by my awesome mom, we just received them in the mail on Wednesday afternoon. She made them w/o even measuring the windows... they perfectly fit and match all the colors! Thanks mom!

Can't wait to rock Trent to his sleep in this rocker... :)
The rocker and ottoman, (notice the handmade burp cloth Jen made!) Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a great thanksgiving yesterday. This was the first year we didn't travel anywhere to spend thanksgiving with family. Since I'm 37 weeks preggers, I can't travel and we had so much to do around here anway. We had to work on the nursery and finish up stuff around the house. My mom sent us a pre-cooked turkey and pumpkin cheesecake from Harry & David. That took a lot of work out of thanksgiving dinner. I made the greenbean casseroll, mashed potatoes and popped the cranberry jelly out of the can. (hard work, I know)! The turkey was DELICIOUS! It was soooo moist! yum! Thanks mom & dad! here's our Thanksgiving spread! yum!

Only 3 weeks to go!
As of this week, Trent is considered full-term, this means that if he arrives now, his lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though his due date is still three weeks away. Also, many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long.Monday, November 23, 2009
Update!
The doctor appointment went well on Friday. He measured my belly @ 37 weeks, and sent me for a non-stress test that checks the baby's heartbeat. His heartbeat was around 154 and the nurse said that's really good. Then I went down to get the fluid test done, because the doctor was concerned my fluids were a little low. But after the test, they results came out good. Since dehydration is the #1 cause of premature labor, they recommended for me to drink lots of water. So I have this huge water bottle that I take with me everywhere, home to work to car to home... lol. Gotta keep my fluids up, I don't want Trent to come out early. :)
Unfortunately, due to Thanksgiving this week, I won't see my Doctor till next Monday. I was kind of anxious for him to check me and see if I am or starting to dialate, but I guess I can wait till next week! :)
This weekend I finally got a chance to go through all the baby stuff, from the 2 showers I've had and other stuff that friends and moms have sent us. I sorted through all the clothing, diapers, bibs, pacis, etc. I was shocked how much clothes he's gotten. He has 40 newborn outfits! 40!!! Considering he weight 7 lbs, 9 oz already and newborn outfits are 5-8 lbs, I highly doubt he's going to get a chance to wear any of that. I took a picture of all the baby stuff spread out all over the nursery, lol I'll post it tonight.

Look @ this mess! lol

Dr. Appointment
This afternoon I have my dr. appot, he's going to check to see if everything is getting close. :) Got less than 4 weeks left from my Dec. 16th due date! I can honestly say, I'm ready but I'm not ready! lol I'm ready for him to come to this world and complete our little family BUT I still have so much to finish up and get ready for. :) The nursery isn't quiet done yet, we're still unpacking from our move, etc. But the important thing to remember is, Trent's not going to care if his nursery is done or not. lol He's not going to care if the furniture matches or not, etc. All he's going to care about is a warm, comfortable place to sleep in, food and get his diapers changed. and LOVE! which he's going to get a LOT of! :) If I could have it my way, obviously, I'd want him to come after Dec.9th, that's the day of my finals/final presentation/paper for my EMBA program. AND John will definitely be done with his school by then. He's got his written test on Monday and his interview the following week. I guess it's just not knowing when he's actually going to be ready to come to this world, that can get you all worried and wrapped up. But as long as he's healthy and there are no complications, everything else can wait and be rescheduled. :)

Crenshaw Melon Baby!!!
Wow! 36 weeks already, have about 28 days left till he's here. That's if he's right on time :) This week Trent should be around 6 pounds and still packing on the pounds at a rate of about an ounce a day. (Length: more than 18 1/2 inches, head to heel.)

He's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered his body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected his skin during his nine-month amniotic bath. At the end of this week, Trent is considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.)

Johnny & Mango!
Tonight we were going to watch the CAPS game at the Green Turtle but John found out it was playing on TV, so we stayed home and watched it. Since John just got home from Norfolk today & Mango hadn't seen him all week, she missed him so much! After dinner, she was ALL over him. It was so cute!
The Bedding!!!

35 Weeks Baby!!!
I might not realize it, but my belly is growing rapidaly! I had another Dr. Appt yesterday and my belly measure 35cm, which is right where it should be. I weighed less than I did last week but the Dr. said that's normal, becuase the baby is growing and I'm not gaining weight! :) So far I've gained 23 pds since I got prego, so I should be able to fit in my pre-pregnancy clothes after
delivery.
delivery.
He scales around 5 1/4 pds...around the same weight as a honeydew. :)

Trent doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds. Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Great weekend!
I got a bunch of my errands done Saturday, it was such a productive day! I even got a chance to work on my paper for school. It's not due till Monday at mid-night, but I'm pretty much done with it. :)
Today, I spent most of the day with my sister in Bethesda. We had lunch, then went to the NEX (I had to return some stuff), walked around downtown Bethesda that's all decked out for Christmas already. It looks so pretty. We had dinner at this really good tapas restaurant! yum! Oh, we went to Sally's Beauty Supply and in the parking lot I saw a prego parking spot (which I didn't park in), but I swear since I've been prego, I've noticed there aren't any prego spots anywhere. ha ha But I just had to take a picture with it!

Finally!
Not sure what was going on with her ear, but I thought it looked cute!
This was today, I gave her one of those dental bones and she chewed on it for a good 2 hours till it was GONE! :)
I don't even remember the last time I posted belly pics, it's been so long since I've been able to get online on my computer. So today I finally got internet, although my wireless card on my computer is burnt, I can still hard-wire to the cable and get online! yay~!

I took this picture after I got my hair done last night. :) 34 weeks!
(don't look at the messy Ottoman! ) lol
